Frequently Asked Questions about Sustainability Data

Everything banks, brokers and financial portals need to know before integrating.

Which sustainability dimensions are covered?
The money:care sustainability score evaluates securities across three dimensions: climate, society and gender. Each dimension is reported individually and combined into a transparent overall score. This allows end users to see exactly how a company performs in detail. The sustainability score is designed for maximum transparency.
What sources are used to collect the data?
The sustainability data is based on public company reports. money:care conducts its own quality review to ensure consistency and comparability across industries and regions. The data is updated regularly whenever companies publish new reports.
What method is used to calculate the Impact Score?
The Impact Score combines the dimensions of climate, society and gender. The calculation is rule-based and transparent — not a black box, but a clear methodology that is also suitable for regulatory contexts such as MiFID II sustainability preference assessments.
How many stocks and ETFs are covered by sustainability data?
Currently over 3,500 stocks and ETFs are covered with sustainability data. Coverage is continuously expanded. For platforms with specific tradeable universes, we align data availability in advance before integration.
Is there a ready-made white-label UI module, or do you only provide raw data via API?
Both. Via the REST API, platforms receive all sustainability data in a structured JSON format, ready to be embedded into existing stock and ETF profiles. In addition, money:care offers ready-made UI components as an iFrame or white-label module: a sustainability score widget that fits directly into a platform's existing design system. Integration effort is minimal in both variants.
Do you support portfolio-level scoring — a sustainability rating of the entire portfolio?
Yes. money:care can calculate an aggregated sustainability score for an entire portfolio, weighted by the positions held. This makes it possible to integrate a portfolio sustainability check as a feature in brokerage interfaces, robo-advisor products or digital advisory journeys. End users can see at a glance how sustainably their portfolio is positioned.
Can users filter by sustainability criteria and actively compare investments?
Yes, the sustainability data is structured to be used as an active discovery layer: as a filter in security search, as a sorting criterion in ETF lists, or as a comparison dimension on product pages. Platforms can enable their users to search specifically for sustainable investments — or to compare existing positions by their ESG impact.
